We work with clay to create ceramic birdhouses, garden stakes, plates, etc. We specialize in dog, cat, bird, and flower designs. Everything is made by us. We do art fairs in northern California and are located in the San Francisco area.

Mountain View

Did the Mountain View, California show last weekend. Large crowds and people were buying. Among other things sold 2 women sculptures. Nice to know people appreciate the new work. Checked out the Treasure Island Flea Market on Saturday. It just started and there were quite a few artists with booths. I may try it in July. Can't in June because of the Montclair art show at the end of the month. I would want to be located near the garden area. The ceramic flowers, birdhouses, tables, etc. would be a perfect fit. Finished to orders, now just have to deliver them. I have things drying, but not enough to run a bisque load. Hope to find inspiration tomorrow. Need to make some.........what???? I could never do production work, way too boring for me, but at least a production potter does not need to stress for a new idea to create into reality.

2011 Art Shows

Our shows have begun. Menlo Park, California was the first one. This weekend, starting on Friday, we will be in downtown Walnut Creek, Ca. The weather is supposed to be perfect and we will have new clay creations to sell. In fact, the kiln is running right now with some beautiful new sculptures - a very large rabbit, an elephant, a large dog, 2 new paperweights (1 with a dog sitting on top, the other with a rabbit) and some flower stakes. All one of a kind, featuring whimsical, colorful creatures. In May, we will be in Mountain View, California.

Sculpture

We have been captivated by the sculpture process. With no formal training it has not been easy to learn. It has mostly been done with the old trial and error method. That said, we are very happy with the results of all the hand building we have been doing lately. Their have been animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits and frogs. But now we have added beautiful ladies to the mix. We start our fall shows this weekend and are anxious to see how they are received.
